This year in your science class, the students will be choosing most of your own projects and topics throughout the year. Each student needs to find a way to work each of their science standards (found to the right) into their projects.

To make sure the students are properly planning out their projects, they will need to complete a project proposal before beginning any project. I would like you (parent/guardian) to look over their proposal and sign it before they propose their project to me. This helps you to stay as current as possible with your student's learning and to be aware of what they may be planning/expecting from you.

With proper planning and effort, a majority of your student's projects should be able to be completed in class. However, if necessary, students may need to work on parts of their projects at home. Examples of this could be practicing an experiment/activity at home to ensure they are aware of the results, research, constructing a model/device, etc.
